SCB Racing made an impact on the weekend in qualifying and race results with CHRIS GREEN behind the wheel of the #38 car in Gold Class. A new qualifying record was set by the young driver to start the race side by side with SCB Racing Teammate #48. Both cars ran in the mid 1:22s throughout the weekend and secured top starting positions for both races. Gabor Foti’s #00 Silver Class car also joined the team to round out the presence in each class for SCB Racing.
Race 1 Extremely fast paced from start to finish with the #48 and #38 car holding their positions in P3 & P4 overall for most of the race. A full course caution forced a restart with 12 minutes to go and with #48 in P2 and #38 in P3 it looked like a great finish for SCB Racing. Unfortunately the #48 of Ilker Starck retired after the restart with a mechanical issue. Chris Green went on to win the race in Gold Class and finished with an amazing P3 overall. Gabor Foti’s #00 Silver Class car went on to finish 3rd in his class after a spin in turn 9.
Race 2 Due to a torrential down pour, the race began under damp conditions. The #48 car started the race in P2 in Platinum Class, the #38 car in P1 in Gold and #00 in P2 in Silver.
A slight mistake in the opening lap of the race caused the #48 to spin in turn 2 and flat spot the tires. Chris Green in the #38 car had an excellent race again and finished 1st in Gold and 3rd overall ahead of many Platinum cars. Gabor Foti, in the #00 car, reclaimed 2nd in the Silver class. At the end of it all, Chris Green stated, “I would like to thank-you all (SCB Racing) for your efforts and professionalism this weekend at Mosport. I truly believe it was a team effort to allow us to get up on the top step of the podium both days.”
