The common problem of brake fluid boiling is simply traced to heat transferring from the rotors and pads directly into the fluid through the caliper pistons. When brake fluid boils, it releases air that is normally part of the molecular structure of the fluid. This air is compressible and the brake pedal goes to the floor instead of moving the caliper pistons. Titanium as a material has very low thermal conductivity, meaning it is very ineffective at transferring heat, which is ideal for keeping fluid cool. The GiroDisc solution helps prevent fluid from boiling by using a thin titanium shields placed between the pad back and the pistons, this reduces the braking heat from transferring into the pistons and fluid. GiroDisc titanium pad shields are water jet cut to exact size for a perfect fit.

GiroDisc braided stainless brake lines are a very simple and cost-effective upgrade that can totally transform the way your brakes feel both on the track and the street. Pedal feel, brake pressure, and the ability to effectively modulate brake pressure are just a few of the things that rely entire on your brake fluid’s ability to maintain constant pressure throughout the system. By its very nature, rubber becomes soft and more pliable when it’s hot. In a brake system that relies on constant pressure to push the calipers, any expansion of the rubber lines means that pressure is being lost and not directed to where it’s needed most, the calipers. The resulting decrease in performance can be unnerving to say the least. Stainless brake lines do not swell in the same way as rubber lines, even when exposed to heat, providing consistent and predictable pedal feel. The braided outer sleeve also provides an extra measure of protection from abrasion as well as road debris.
